Hi Reddit, I’m Paul English, cofounder of KAYAK and Boston Venture Studio.
I’ve spent decades building companies. Right now, I’m bringing back something I miss: old-school chat rooms.
Remember picking a screen name and getting into a conversation with people you’d never met? That’s the idea behind my latest project, Third (https://third.org). Text-only chat rooms. 30 min convos, for now open on Thursday nights.
Ask me about building KAYAK, knowing which ideas to pursue and which to kill, building teams, starting over after an exit, or maybe what the early internet got right that we’ve lost along the way.
I’ll be answering personally on Thursday, October 29, starting at 7pm ET.
