I built a search engine that indexes 80,000+ NSFW subreddits. I've seen things. AMA

Hey,

I'm a solo developer who spent months building nsfwdog.com — a search engine specifically for discovering NSFW subreddits.

Why I built it: Reddit's native search is terrible for NSFW content. Communities are hard to find, there's no good way to browse by category, and half the time you're guessing random subreddit names hoping something exists. I got frustrated and decided to fix it.

What I learned along the way:

  • There are way more NSFW subreddits than you'd think, 80,000+
  • The niches get very specific
  • Organising this stuff into coherent categories was... an experience

Ask me anything
